Following the success of last years’ event, North Somerset Council will be hosting its second Home Ownership Event at the Weston College Conference Centre, Hans Price Building, Lower Church Road, Weston Super Mare BS23 2AL on Thursday 30th March 2017 form 3.00pm until 7.30pm
This free event is aimed at anyone in North Somerset needing help to buy their own home.
Residents have the opportunity to drop in and learn how Help to Buy Equity Loan and Shared Ownership schemes work; and to find out about homes that are available to buy on these schemes in our area, that might help them take their first step onto the property ladder.
There will be opportunities to talk to the Help to Buy South team about the Government’s Affordable Home Ownership schemes; Speak with representatives from Housing Associations about new homes being built and properties available for re-sale; talk to Wessex Resolutions about the Council’s First Time Buyers Loan scheme, to help first time buyers with the costs of moving into their first home; and to speak with specialist staff from the Council’s Housing Team, for advice on the options available.
There will also be Independent Financial Advisors at the event who will let people know their mortgage options, including how much they may be able to borrow, what they can expect to pay each month and how much deposit they will need to buy a home; there will also be Property Lawyers attending who can advise visitors what they need to know about the property buying process.
